Travel to Daocheng & Yading (start & end in Chengdu)
Hi, I'm George from Singapore. My partner & I would like to travel to the above destination in Oct 09. On the way, we would like to take in the sights of Gongga mountain if that's feasible.
I am looking out for travel companions. Any advice would be much appreciated. We are not hardcore trekkers, but love mountains! Thanks much

wonder if you are already in SiChuan to see Mount GongGa.
Oct is a great time to see the autumn colours.
to get really close to the mountains, you have to do a trek around the area. on vehicle, you could probably catch a glimpse if the weather is good.
i know if a group who will be doing a trek of 9days in Nov09. if you would like to find out more about that trek, you can email ask@shangrila-adventure.com for more info. they organise treks in SiChuan.
this trek is not very strenuous, but you still have to get up a highpass at almost 4650m.
